We have a unique opportunity at one of our ‘Outstanding’ Mainstream Primary Schools located in the London Borough of Southwark, Dulwich. The successful candidate will be supporting PE lessons and leading 1:1 and small group behaviour interventions across KS1 and KS2.  

Job overview:

• £90 per day (£450 p/w) PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Full time, Long term (Ongoing throughout the academic year)
• Immediate start

Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the Class Teachers, the PE Teacher and the SENCO to ensure pupils are receiving the necessary support and to implement behaviour strategies where necessary. Your time within this role will be split into two, supporting PE Lessons alongside the PE Teacher working in small groups with pupils who need additional support and to assist managing behaviour. When you’re not supporting PE, you will be working 1:1 with pupils with challenging behaviour in certain lessons, and leading small group interventions to encourage a positive attitude to learning.

Requirements:

• You must have a clear enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Experience working with children in a care, residential or social setting (coaching, nannying tutoring)
• You must have a sports relevant degree or sports coaching experience
• You must have a ‘Can do’ attitude
• You must be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to aiding their academic and behavioural development
