ORTUS RECRUITMENT are working alongside a wonderful Primary School who are seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join their fast growing staff team as a Behaviour Mentor, supporting children with challenging behaviour.

The Job Role:

• Position: Behaviour Mentor
• Pay: £85 – £100 per day, PAYE
• Location: Sydenham
• Role: Full time, Long term

The ideal candidate will have hands on experience managing challenging behaviour or will have completed CPD courses relating to that subject. The school are looking for someone who is eager to work alongside children and begin a  career in education. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent and will be able to show patience and resilience in this role.

Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Class Teacher in managing behaviour within the classroom. You will be required to implement the schools the behaviour policy when necessary. You will be responsible for supervising the pupils on movement breaks around the building when needed, as well as taking them to a one to one sensory space if they are feeling heightened.
