Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

A forward-thinking PRU in Thornton Heath is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. This is a highly rewarding role for anyone passionate about guiding young people to succeed despite challenges.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll work closely with students aged 11–16, helping them develop positive behaviours and achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional challenges.
- Deliver tailored interventions to improve emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
- Act as a trusted mentor and role model for young people in the PRU setting.
- Work alongside teaching and pastoral staff to create individual behaviour plans and strategies.
- Help pupils reintegrate into mainstream settings where possible.
About You:
- Experience working with young people in a PRU, SEMH, or behavioural support setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with challenging pupils.
- Patience, resilience, and a commitment to supporting young people to achieve their best.
- A good understanding of behaviour management techniques (training provided if needed).
