Here at Ortus Recruitment we are working alongside a wonderful pupil referral unit which is Ofsted rated ‘Good’. The school are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor, with hands on experience managing challenging behaviour, to join their school on an immediate basis.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working in a challenging childcare setting, this can be schools, youth clubs or residential homes. We are looking for someone who is both patient and resilient. You will need to have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent.
Must have for this role:
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
- Two obtainable childcare relevant references
- A minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math
Within this role, the successful candidate will be required to support a year 6 pupil with challenging behaviour. This pupil in particular needs support maintaining concentration in class and having a positive attitude to learning in general. The successful candidate will need to supervise the pupil on movement breaks in between lessons and supervise the pupil in the lunch hall and the playground.
