Position Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor in our Richmond PRU, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of respect and academic growth. Your primary responsibility is to guide students facing behavioral challenges towards making positive choices, ensuring they achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to students.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to maintain a harmonious classroom atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the creation of personalized behavior improvement plans.
  • Offer compassionate support and constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain thorough records of interventions and progress.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor, preferably within a PRU or a similar educational setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to engage with and build trust among students.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
  • Strong team player.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behavior management are advantageous.
