Behaviour Mentor (Specialist School)

Ortus Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and committed individual to join our partnered specialist school in Kennington. Our school is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students with a range of SEN needs, and we are looking for a Behaviour Mentor who shares our vision and commitment to excellence.
The role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be responsible for working with students who have challenging behaviors and providing them with the guidance and support they need to manage their behavior effectively. You will play a critical role in the lives of these students, serving as a role model, mentor, and advocate for them as they navigate the complexities of school life.
As a full-time member of staff, you will support students’ behaviour and learning both inside and outside the classroom. You will collaborate with teaching staff, the SENCO, and other members of the support team to develop individualized plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviours. You will be empathetic, patient, and committed to helping young people achieve their goals. A degree in a relevant field or a teaching assistant qualification would be an advantage, as would experience in behaviour management, counselling, or other related fields.
