About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Behaviour Mentor with a strong sports background to join our team and support students in Hounslow. This role is ideal for an individual with experience in working with young people, especially those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, who can use sports to engage, motivate, and develop positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students, focusing on behaviour management, engagement, and positive reinforcement through sports activities.
  • Develop and implement sports-based interventions tailored to support students with SEMH needs, helping them build resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEN teams, and other support staff to create individualized behaviour plans.
  • Use sports and physical activities as tools to promote emotional regulation, focus, and social skills.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, helping students develop confidence, self-discipline, and respect both in and out of the classroom.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and behaviour interventions and communicate effectively with the wider team and parents/guardians.

Requirements:

  • Background in sports coaching, physical education, or similar field with experience working with young people.
  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with students with SEMH or behavioural challenges is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
  • A positive, resilient, and proactive attitude with a commitment to helping young people achieve their best.
