Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in the Teddington area, and they are looking to recruit a motivated, fun Behaviour Mentor to commit to a full time – long term role. Your main job role will be to support students, who have challenging behaviour, inside and outside the classroom, ensuring they are staying on tasks and safe at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for pupils to manage their behaviour better.
• Liaising with SENCOS
• Drawing up action plans for learners, ensuring they cater to the student’s needs.
• Conduct one-to-one mentoring sessions with identified pupils

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Empathy and emotional intelligence.
• The ability to think on your feet and be flexible.
• The ability to support people from a range of backgrounds.
• Organisational skills.
