Our client school in Barnet is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to support with emotion regulation and challenging behavioural needs. This is an inclusive and diverse primary school located in Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience as a behaviour mentor, sport coach, youth worker, special educational needs assistant and/or learning support assistant.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will provide support and guidance to a boy in Year 2. He has Autism and ADHD and as a result presents challenging behaviours. You will need to set boundaries and build a positive rapport with the child in order to manage his behaviour effectively.
Requirements for the role:
- Ability to set boundaries
- Ability to establish trust and respect
- Firm but fair approach
- Behaviour management experience
- SEN experience
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative
- Good communication skills
Details about the role:
- Mon-Fri, 8:30am – 3:30pm
- No weekends
- Term time
- Full time & Long-term
- £425-£525 per week (PAYE)
- Potential to be placed on teacher training programme
- Generous referral scheme
- Continuous support/advice from specialist consultants
