An innovative SEMH school in Purley is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their passionate team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building trust, promoting positive behaviours, and empowering students to succeed.
The Role:
You will support pupils in overcoming challenges to re-engage with education, develop self-esteem, and achieve academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to support pupils with SEMH needs.
- Assist in delivering behaviour-focused interventions and strategies.
- Act as a mentor and positive role model for pupils.
- Support pupils in developing self-regulation and resilience.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individual behaviour plans.
About You:
- Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm, resilient, and able to respond effectively to challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
