Ortus Recruitment are seeking for a Behaviour Mentor to join our mainstream primary school with an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report. The primary school is based in Wandsworth Common and has good transportation links. This is a Full-Time position (Monday to Friday), and the Behaviour Mentor needs excellent behavioural management skills as well as experience in working with challenging student behaviour within the KS1 level.

This is a fulfilling position, and you will be a valuable member to the team with the support you will be providing to the vulnerable pupils. This offers you the perfect opportunity to get your foot into a professional environment and be a perfect role model for the pupils; you will also be given support along the way by senior members of the school.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have a passion to want to work with young people who need help
  • Someone looking to gain valuable experience working with SEMH students, such as an aspiring rehabilitation officer or social worker.
  • Available to start in September 2023
  • Available to work in Wandsworth Common
  • Behaviour Support Worker role
  • £80 -£100 per day PAYE
  • Excellent behavioural management skills
  • Comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Level 3+ or degree desired in Criminology, Sociology, Physical Education, Maths, English and Psychology ideally but similar would be considered.
  • Experience is desirable not essential.
