Ortus Recruitment are seeking a Behaviour Specialist TA to join the experienced and welcoming staff at an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ 2 form entry primary school in the London borough of Barnet.

This role offers the opportunity to broaden your experience working with children on a one-to-one and small group basis, leading interventions and personalised support sessions to students that may have SEMH needs. The role will also involve aiding the teacher in the planning, preparation and delivery of lesson material, supervising outdoor and lunchtime activities and marking homework.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have strong behaviour management skills
• Will have had 3-6 months of classroom experience (desirable)
• Prior experience working with children with SEMH needs (desirable)
• Will have a relevant degree i.e; Psychology (desirable)
• Must be resilient and passionate about working with children

Candidates must:

• Have a CACHE Level 3 Teaching qualification/ equivalent
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
• Provide 2 references
• Provide proof of right to work in the UK
