Behaviour Teaching Assistant.
Location: Richmond.
Ortus recruitment are looking for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant in the area of Richmond. If you’re a aspiring teacher who is trying to challenge themselves in a new and exciting environment then this is definitely the role for you.
The school you’ll be working in are a highly reputable Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) they work with the most experienced staff who are great at what they do. The children you’ll be working with have Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties, they can’t be inside mainstream education due to this. The school aims to try and develop the children’s social skills and make sure they’re all interacting with each other. You’ll be working both 1:1 and in group activities with the children, helping the main teacher set-up activities for the kids. You’ll have to have a creative mind in this role making sure that you assist the teacher of the class to come up with new innovative lessons for the kids.
Skills you will need…
- An ability to work with children who have behavioural difficulties.
- Have a calm and compassionate nature.
- A desire to help children who are struggling with behavioural difficulties.
- Brilliant organising skills, especially when working with children 1:1.
- Great ability to work with other staff.
- To be able to create positive relationships with the children.
- Strong communication both with the class teacher and the children.
Job Details.

- Pay: £80-£95 per day, paid weekly. (PAYE)
- Dedicated Consultant with knowledge of the local area.
- Full-time, long-term role.
- Monday-Friday, five days a week.
- Great transport links, both bus and train.
- Working hours from 8:30am-4:00pm
