Challenging Behaviour Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is currently working with our partnered mainstream primary school in the Putney area to find a Challenging Behaviour Assistant to join their team. The role is a general teaching assistant position, with a specific focus on supporting a Year 5 class to stay focused on their learning and managing challenging behaviour in the classroom.
The Challenging Behaviour Assistant will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students who display challenging behaviour in the classroom. You will work closely with the classroom teacher and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive behaviour and learning.
Requirements:
- Graduate of core subject or relevant qualification for working with children
- Experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviours in a professional environment
- Strong understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, kindness and a passion for helping others
- Able to work on a Full-Time basis (Monday – Friday, 08:30am 0 16:00pm)
