Ortus Recruitment is currently looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor to provide additional support to an exceptional school based in Tooting. The school aims to support their needs to provide them with the skills to be successful and help them to overcome their barriers to learning, which may be about improving their behaviour or some other aspects of their learning. This role is a Full Time position and will require you to work Monday- Friday 08:30-16:00.
The Role – Behaviour Mentor
Behaviour Mentor is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference within your life and the students’ you will encounter from day to day. Your day will consist of being a role model, mentoring and supporting children with their education. Also this role is a great opportunity to further your professional development within a mainstream primary school. Behaviour Mentors are a key asset to any classroom within the school and you would be a valued member to a dedicated team across the school.
In order to be considered for this role you need to:
- Have experience working with children
- Comfortable working with challenging behaviour
It would be an advantage, not necessary, if you have previously worked in:
- SEMH / PRU settings
- Youth Work
- Police or Army
- Sports coaches and mentors
- Graduates in Sport, Psychology, Drama and Counselling and Therapy
