Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant
Ortus Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to provide additional support to an excellent school based in Earlsfield. The school aims to support their needs by providing the students with the tools to overcome their barriers to learning, which may be about improving their behaviour or some other aspects of their learning.
This role is a Full Time position and will require you to work Monday- Friday 08:30-16:00.
The Role:
As a confident, motivated Behaviour Mentor you will be expected to work closely with students displaying disruptive behaviour in and around class, and will be looked upon to use your personality, determination, and reason to provide them with a safe space, a mentor, and a firm-but-fair friend for them to utilise to get their education back on track. This role is a great opportunity to further your professional development within a mainstream primary school.
In order to be considered for this role you need to:
- Have experience working with children
- Comfortable working with challenging behaviour 1:1
It would be an advantage, not necessary, if you have previously worked in:
- SEMH / PRU settings
- Youth Work
- Police or Army
- Sports coaches and mentors
- Graduates in Sport, Psychology, Drama and Counselling and Therapy
