Ortus Recruitment are working with a Croydon based Primary School, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support several children across KS1 and KS2 with Challenging Behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to support students with challenging behaviour in the classroom.
  • Develop individual behaviour plans for students, in collaboration with teaching staff and parents/carers, which incorporate positive behaviour management strategies and promote emotional regulation.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support students in developing appropriate social and emotional skills.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviour, focusing on academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work closely with parents/carers to provide regular updates on student progress and to develop home-school strategies for supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals, such as social workers, therapists, and counsellors, to ensure that students receive holistic support.
  • Attend relevant training and CPD to develop skills and knowledge in supporting students with challenging behaviour.
