We are currently seeking passionate individuals for the role of Special Educational Needs (SEN) Classroom Assistant. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical and communication support tailored to the individual needs of each child
• Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to support students with additional needs
• Help plan and organize learning activities for supported students
• Facilitate cognitive development by removing learning barriers
• Ensure the physical welfare of students and assist with their personal care needs as required
• Contribute to setting and reviewing individual targets, attending meetings and providing feedback on student progress
• Monitor and record student progress in accordance with academy systems

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in learning support or support work with young people with learning disabilities such as autism and ADHD
• Experience working in an educational environment providing academic or personal care support
• Willingness to provide personal care support to individuals with high needs, including peg feeding, toileting, and changing
• Availability for immediate interview
• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service
