The school are seeking an experienced Learning Mentor to join their ever growing staff team and hit the ground running assisting the Class Teacher in supporting a Year 4 class.

Job Information:

• Position: Classroom Assistant
• Pay: £80 – £90 per day, PAYE – No hidden Agency/Umbrella company fees
• Location: Bellingham
• Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the Class Teacher in supporting pupils in a Year 4 class. You will be required to assist the pupils with activities and tasks whilst in the class, and also supervise them when they are in the corridor moving between lessons, in the playground and in the lunchroom. You will be responsible for undertaking administrative duties, such as helping the Class Teacher update displays, create targets, marking classwork/homework and signing reading diaries. You will also need to provide feedback to parents/carers about the pupils progress academically and behaviourally.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will:

• Have experience working in a classroom setting, assisting the Class Teacher and supporting Pupils
• Be able to easily build a positive rapport with both pupils and staff
• Be confident enough to lead 1:1 and/or small group subject specific interventions
• Be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to aiding their academic attainment levels
• Have a natural kind and nurturing nature
• Have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references
• Have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service, or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
