We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Reaching Assistant to join a professional and dedicated team on a full – time basis (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm)

As a Classroom Assistant you will have the opportunity to work with students in our primary phase, either mainstream classroom or providing focused individual support, often on a one-to one basis, for our Resourced Provision Students. Whether you are experienced candidate or someone looking to start a career in education we welcome your application if you have a genuine passion for working with children, particularly those who are most vulnerable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide individualised support to students, adapting to their specific needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement effective teaching strategies
• Promote positive behaviour and social development
• Assist with planning and preparing education resources
• Encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential
• Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and achievement

Requirements:

• Minimum of GSCE Grade C/4 in English Language and Maths
• A degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology Drama or Performing Arts or related field
• A desire and passion to work with children, especially those with special educational needs
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
• Any subject or specialism that may help match you to student needs
