ORTUS RECRUITMENT are seeking an experienced Classroom Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join one of our best clients, immediate start! The Job Role:

• Position: Classroom Assistant
• Pay: £95 per day | PAYE No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Location: Lewisham
• Role: Full Time, Long Term, Mon – Fri (08:30 – 16:00)

The Ideal Candidate:

• Will have experience working in a Classroom Setting within a School or Social setting
• Will be passionate about working alongside children and helping them to develop life skills
• Will be dedicated to providing an engaging learning environment for pupils
• Will be able to build a positive rapport with pupils and staff as well as helping to maintain a positive working environment amongst staff
• Will have a strong academic background and be confident in leading 1:1 and small group interventions
• NEEDS TO HAVE AN ENHANCED CHILD WORKFORCE DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE OR BE WILLING TO PROCESS ONE THROUGH ORTUS RECRUITMENT (£52).

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be required to work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with their work and activities
• You will be responsible for supervising pupils in the classroom and around the school building, maintaining a safe learning environment
• You will be required to lead 1:1 and small group interventions in order to raise academic attainment
• You will be required to liaise with the class teacher and parents to provide academic feedback and progress
• You will be required to undertake administrative duties, such as marking classwork/homework and signing reading diaries.
