Classroom Assistant | Post-October 2023 Half Term
A highly regarded primary school located in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic classroom assistant to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an individual who is committed to supporting students in the classroom, aligning with Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs), to foster their development and learning. Experience working with students who have diverse additional needs is advantageous. The successful candidate will play an essential role in planning, preparing, and delivering activities, including local and national initiatives, focused on numeracy and literature.
As a Classroom Assistant, your responsibilities will include implementing structured learning activities and teaching programs, providing guidance and support to students under the supervision of the class teacher. You will also offer constructive feedback to students to help them realize their full potential and ensure the safe management of classroom activities, creating an environment conducive to effective learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to facilitating students’ access to the education system by assessing and supporting their achievements while monitoring progress toward EHCP/ILP objectives.
- Provide practical and developmental assistance to the school’s leadership team in meeting the educational and personal welfare needs of students.
- Ensure a safe working environment for both staff and students to the best of your ability.
