Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic Classroom Assistant for a reputable mainstream primary school situated in the Streatham area. Our partnered school requires individuals with experience and a strong passion for supporting primary-aged children. This position will be a full-time position supporting a child in KS1 with ASD 1-to-1 and will be ideal for someone who intends to gain experience supporting pupil with SEN, whilst pursuing a career in teaching.

• Working across the Primary age range – EYFS, SEN, KS1, and KS2 (3-11 years old)
• Immediate Start – Long-Term & Full-Time
• £85 – £105 per day
• Located in the Borough of Lambeth

The successful candidate will be supporting high-performing, low-performing, and SEN pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, with an emphasis on raising attainment in core subjects. We’re looking for confident and proactive graduates who can integrate seamlessly into a large team and work independently when needed.

You will need to work one-on-one, across classes, and with small groups both inside and outside the classroom. Therefore, flexibility and strong academic abilities are essential.

• Strong academic background – Degree from a reputable university with a good level of Maths and English
• Proactive and confident
• Ability to work effectively as part of a large team
• Commitment, reliability, and a willingness to engage fully are crucial
