Ortus Recruitment are liaising with a number of fantastic, mainstream Primary Schools in the London Borough of Brent who are looking for multiple reliable and flexible individuals available during the week for Day-to-Day cover and supply work.

Role: Supply Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Flexible, Term-Time

Location: LB of Brent

Start Date: Immediate

This role would require someone willing to go in to different schools across Brent, being informed as early as 7am and assist alongside the Senior Leadership Team and Class Teacher in the activities and lessons for the day.

This is the perfect role for someone looking to gain more experience in a Primary school environment with the potential to secure a full-time and long-term position with the school if deemed an ideal candidate.

Main Responsibilities:

• Be reliable, flexible and proactive
• Assist class teacher with behaviour management and playtime duty
• Confidently lead 1:1 and small group interventions i.e. phonics, numeracy and literacy
• Collaborating with SLT, Assistant Teachers and School Administrators to make sure students are safe
• Encourage participation from SEN pupils and support them where necessary
