The team at Ortus Recruitment work in collaboration with Primary/SEN schools and bring them together with individuals looking for opportunities in the education sector. We are dedicated to providing specialised and ongoing support to educators looking for full-time and long-term roles within schools in their local area. We work with a number of schools, all rated ‘Good‘ or ‘Outstanding‘ by Ofsted, with supportive senior leadership teams and opportunities for further career progression.
We are currently looking for an Early Years Educator to support amongst 4 month – 5 year olds in a nursery school attached to a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience within the Early Years sector, good knowledge of the EYFS framework and hold a CACHE L3 Qualification. You will also be expected to work alongside children with varying special educational needs, so prior experience with SEN strategies and interventions is essential.
Please note: This is a short-term position from the 3rd of June to the 21st of June.
Details about Early Years Role:
- Mon-Fri, 9am – 3:30pm
- No weekends
- Short-Term Role
- £425-£525 per week (PAYE)

Responsibilities of Early Years Educator:
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for young children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Encourage learning through play
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Observe and assess children’s development and progress
- Collaborate with other educators to plan and coordinate activities and events
- Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, progress, and incidents
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development and any concerns
Skill Requirements for Early Years Educator:
- Must have a CACHE Level 3 Qualification
- Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices
- Adept understanding of EYFS framework
- Behaviour management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards young children
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of children and the program
