Early Years Teaching Assistant – Lambeth

Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to provide support to children in the early years, both in and out of the classroom. Our partnered mainstream primary school caters for children aged 3 – 11 years old and this is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills as a teaching assistant while supporting the learning and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the class teacher to provide support to children in the early years
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons and activities
• Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide one-to-one and small group support as needed
• Assist with the assessment of student progress
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

Requirements:

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working in an Early Years setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
