Early Years | Teaching Assistant | Camden

Ortus Recruitment are seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant for a Nursery located in the London Borough of Camden. The Nursery is local to public transport, shops and cafe’s; has a supportive leadership team and welcoming staff to work alongside you, and support you in your role. The ideal applicant will possess a level 3 qualification, be passionate about working with young children, and have some prior experience working with them.

The ideal candidate will also be required to carry out children’s hygiene duties, preparing snacks, cleaning, setting up classroom activities in the morning and afternoon sessions.

General Duties include:

• Providing all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
• To aid with meeting the unique personal/ emotional needs of the children
• To provide engaging adult interaction with children
• To be aware of the nurseries confidentiality policy

Candidates must:

• Have some familiarity with the EYFS framework
• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service/ willing to apply for a new one
• Show proof of right to work in the UK
• Provide two references

• Have previous experience working with children (desirable)
• Possess a Level 3 relevant/ teaching qualification
