Are you passionate about supporting the learning and development of Early Years pupils? We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and vibrant school in Purley, Croydon.

The Role:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons for nursery and reception-aged children. You will help to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment, where children feel safe, happy, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring activities are accessible and engaging for young learners.
• Provide one-on-one and group support during activities, helping children to develop their skills in communication, play, and early literacy and numeracy.
• Support children with additional needs, including those with SEN, by adapting resources and strategies to meet individual learning goals.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among children, using praise and reinforcement to build self-esteem and confidence.
• Monitor and record children’s progress, sharing observations with the teacher and contributing to assessments and reports.
• Help maintain a safe, tidy, and stimulating learning environment that reflects the needs and interests of the children.

About You:
We are seeking a creative, patient, and caring individual who is passionate about working with young children. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with Early Years children, ideally in a school or nursery setting.
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage young children in learning through play.
• A flexible and positive approach to working in a team environment.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in Early Years education or childcare are desirable.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly valued.
