Teaching Assistant – EYFS (SEN Support)

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school EYFS setting, supporting children in their early years of education. This role has a particular focus on providing 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and complex needs.

The Role:

• Supporting EYFS pupils in the classroom and during structured and play-based learning activities
• Providing tailored 1:1 support to a child with complex SEN needs
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences
• Supporting personal care and implementing individual education and care plans (EHCPs) where required
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working in EYFS and/or supporting children with SEN (essential)
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach
• Understanding of complex needs such as ASD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, or physical needs
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
• Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or SEN (desirable but not essential)
