The team at Ortus Recruitment are looking for an experienced educator to prepare children for their future by supporting in their emotional, social and academic development. The schools we work with are Ofsted rated ‘Good‘ or ‘Outstanding‘, provide training and CPD courses to ensure career progression and offer consistent support and motivation. We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team in a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Enfield.
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Type: Full-time, Long-term, Term-Time
Location: London Borough of Enfield, EN3
Start Date: Immediate
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for working on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 1 to manage behaviour, lead interventions and provide additional support to academic, social and emotional development.
The children will have varying needs ranging from being academically behind to having functioning autism.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related qualification
- Must have experience working with SEN – Autism, ADHD and SEMH
- Experience working in classroom setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
