A wonderful Mainstream Primary School are seeking an experienced Graduate Teaching Assistant who is looking to begin an exciting career in education working alongside children.

The school is looking for someone who can hit the ground running building positive working relationships with staff and pupils. The school are willing to upskill the successful candidate with CPD and teacher training opportunities to offer the candidate chances to take on extra roles and responsibilities in exchange for a permanent contract in the long run.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have experience working alongside children in a care, school or social setting
• Will have a strong academic background, educated to degree level
• Will be passionate about working with children and starting a career in education
• Will have a kind and nurturing nature with resilience in the role
• Will have a clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)

Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a small year 5 class. The class has 10 – 18 pupils and you will be working alongside the class teacher and other members of support staff within the class. You will support individual learners and lead subject specific interventions (English, Math, Reading, Phonics), you will be required to work closely with pupils who are behind their targets in an attempt to raise their levels or attainment.
