We are currently looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide support in our client primary school in Brent.

The school is in an excellent location with public transport links within walking distance of the school to ensure easy accessibility.

You will be expected to be a role model for pupils, help to create a positive learning environment and foster excellent behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment and make a real difference to the children’s learning. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young people, a good understanding of the national curriculum and strong communication skills.

You will be aided by a lovely and supportive Senior Leadership Team, who will always be on hand. As well as this, the school offer CPD courses and training when necessary to help further your career and for those deemed most suitable, there is the opportunity to be placed on the school’s Teacher Training Programme.

The Teaching Assistant is responsible for assisting the teacher in the implementation of lesson plans and supporting the teacher in the following job duties:

• Assisting the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and providing feedback to students regarding classroom management
• Assisting the teacher with implementing lesson plans and supporting the teacher in lesson planning
• Leading interventions in small groups to raise attainment and reach set targets
• Maintaining classroom supplies including paper, markers, crayons, pens, glue sticks, markers, books, etc.
• Communicating with parents regarding their child’s progress in a timely manner
