About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ academic and personal growth. This role is ideal for a TA with experience in primary or secondary education who can engage effectively with students of varying abilities. You’ll work both in group settings and on a 1:1 basis, supporting teachers in delivering a high-quality learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in preparing resources and supporting lesson delivery
• Provide 1:1 support for students who need additional help, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive learning environment
• Support the learning and development of students, contributing to their social and academic progress
• Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, promoting a collaborative school culture

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or secondary school
• Familiarity with SEN is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, positive approach to supporting learning
• A patient, empathetic attitude with the ability to motivate and inspire students
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
