The Primary School are seeking someone with a minimum of 2 years’ of school based experienced (ESSENTIAL) to begin an exciting Long Term journey as a support staff member. The school are willing to offer CPD and Teacher training to the successful candidate for them to have career progression opportunities.

The Job Role:

• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Pay: £80 – £90 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Location: Walworth
• Role: Full time, Long term – Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00

The ideal candidate:

• Will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a school based setting alongside children
• Will be passionate about working alongside children as well as being open to upskilling and career progression
• Will be based in the UK and reliably commute to Walworth
• Will be eager and enthusiastic to begin a new and rewarding career in education
• Will have a strong academic background – Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Will be confident leading 1:1 and small group interventions
• Will have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

Main responsibilities:

• You will be required to work alongside the class teacher and support learners in a year 5 class
• You will be required to liaise with the Class Teacher and the parents/carers to provide feedback and pupil progress
• You will be responsible for undertaking some administrative duties, such as marking work, handing out worksheets as well as helping the class teacher prepare activities for the lessons
• You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for pupils at all times
• You will be required to supervise pupils in class and around the school building, mainly including in the Lunch Hall and in the Playground
