EYFS Teaching Assistant (early years foundation stage)

JOB TYPE: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
SALARY: £85.00 – £105.00
START: Immediate
Ortus Recruitment are looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant who will support the head teacher and pupils in the classroom and helps with learning and development. The chosen applicant will have a genuine passion in helping young children in an educational setting and will have a warm, bubbly and proactive personality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the head teacher in organising the day’s activities.
- Assists youngsters in learning by working one-on-one and in small groups.
- Encourage the kids that struggle with learning.
- Assist with lesson preparation and cleanup in the classroom.
- Administrative tasks like photocopying, organising files, showcasing work, and taking and reporting crucial notes.
- Establish ties with the kids’ parents to guarantee open communication and a cosy atmosphere.
- Ensures that all dangerous equipment is kept away from the kids and looks out for their health, safety, and welfare.
Requirements:
- A dedication to supporting kids’ mental, social, and emotional well-being.
- Preferably, prior experience working with children who have special education needs.
- Capable of establishing positive relationships with parents, teachers, and kids.
- A history of working with kids.
- Emotional intelligence, tolerance, and commitment to helping the kids.
