EYFS TEACHING ASSISTANT – SUTTON
Ortus Recruitment is proud to offer an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to join our partnered specialist school based in Sutton. Our school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children with special educational needs, and we are seeking a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to help make a real difference in the lives of our students.
As the chosen EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with SEN in their learning and development. Your day-to-day tasks will include working closely with the EYFS class teacher, adapting to their teaching style and providing individualized support to children according to their needs. You will also be responsible for monitoring and tracking children’s progress, and providing regular feedback to the class teacher.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN in an EYFS setting
- A degree in a core subject or relevant qualifications for working with children (preferred but not essential)
- A genuine passion for working with children with special needs
- Understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Ability to develop positive relationships with young children
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to stay calm and objective in challenging situations
- Commitment to working as part of a team
