FULL TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT – SUTTON

About Us: We are a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in Sutton, committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.

Position Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process within our school. You will work closely with teachers to provide assistance to students, helping them reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and making a positive impact on young lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and deliver effective learning activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional help.
  • Assist in the development of learning materials and resources.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
  • Encourage and facilitate student engagement and participation.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a relevant degree or teaching assistant qualification is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of child safeguarding and the ability to adhere to school policies and procedures.
