The school are looking for someone to lead 1:1 and small group interventions, assisting pupils who require additional support in core subjects. The school is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and boast a diverse and inclusive curriculum and learning environment to pupils. The school staff are supporting and motivating, the working relationship amongst staff is positive and incentive driven by wellbeing meetings and outings.

The Job Information:

• Position: Graduate Learning Mentor
• Pay: £80 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden Agency/Umbrella company fees
• Location: Lewisham, Catford Hill
• Role: Full time, Long term

The Job Description:

Within this role, the successful candidate will be required to liaise with Class Teachers across KS2 and plan differentiated work that suits individual learners needs. You will be tasked with taking pupils out of class, and working closely with them in the Library either 1:1 or in small groups to raise their academic attainment level in core subjects (English, Math, Reading, Science). You will be responsible for providing feedback on the pupils academic and behavioural progress to both the Class Teachers and Parents/Carers.

The Requirements for this role:

• You need to be educated to degree level or equivalent (Essential)
• You need to have experience working alongside children in a school based setting (Tutoring also welcome)
• You need to be able to commit to full time, long term work
• You need to be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated in helping them develop academically
• You will need to be able to easily build a positive rapport with staff and students
• You will need to have TWO childcare relevant references
• You need to have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment
