Ortus recruitment are currently looking for an individual with a strong academic background to work in our partner primary school in Croydon as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

The Primary school has an Ofsted ‘Good’ for their last report and a strong leadership team who aim to provide high quality standards of education.

The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate with a 2.2 or higher and some previous experience working with children.

The role will consist of working alongside a teacher helping them to plan and organise lessons as well as getting involved in class activities supporting children’s learning and development.         

You will be working in groups and 1 to 1 with children who may need additional help with their work.

• Excellent rates of pay – £70 – £90 Per day (PAYE – No umbrella company fees)

• A recent graduate with a 2.2 or higher
• Strong academic background able to keep up with curriculum
• A Confident individual able to communicate clearly and effectively towards teachers and children
• An individual who comes across warm and welcoming
• Great work ethic

• 2 most recent employment references
• Enhanced child workforce DBS on update service or be willing to process a new one.
