Graduate Teaching Assistant
Ortus recruitment are currently working with a mainstream primary school near the Wandsworth area; we are currently seeking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant with experience working with SEN. The school has very welcoming staff and a great senior leadership team who will provide you with support during your time at the school. This school has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report and they are seeking for a new Teaching Assistant to join their team to maintain the quality of education they provide for their vulnerable pupils. This vacancy will be a full-time position and will require the successful candidate to be available Monday to Friday from 08:30-16:00.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a core subject (Maths, English, Science, Psychology, Drama)
- Have experience working with children in a professional environment
- Have experience working with SEN experience (desirable)
- Be able to develop positive relationships with young children
- Committed to working as part of a team in conjunction with the class teacher, and under direction of the leadership team, ensure that the progress of children is monitored and tracked
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Able to provide regular feedback to class teachers
- Able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
- Fully Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply)
