Teaching Assistant – Primary

For someone who wants to become a teacher, this primary school teaching assistant position is ideal. Working with children in Key Stage 2 and assisting them with the national curriculum, with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy, is what a Teaching Assistant does. Your job will be to assist in increasing the attainment levels and work with them one-on-one and in small groups to try to close the gap with their classmates.

A “Good” rated Wandsworth 2-Form Entry primary school is in need of a motivated and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant. The appointed individual will be essential in helping our instructors and students, which will improve every child’s educational experience at the school.

Requirements:

• 2:2 degree or above
• Minimum of a C or 4 in GCSE English and Maths
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Understanding of child development and different learning styles.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to student welfare.
