Ortus Recruitment is working closely with a high-achieving primary school in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, currently rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The school is looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the curriculum, including children with special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a career in education or is looking to build on existing experience within a primary school environment.

About the Role:

You will work alongside experienced teaching staff to support pupils in both group and 1:1 settings. Responsibilities may include academic support, emotional and behavioural mentoring, and contributing to the general running of the classroom.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

• Have prior experience supporting children in a school, childcare, or similar setting (e.g. tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, private nannying, etc.)
• Hold a relevant degree such as Education, Psychology, English, Maths, Performing Arts, or similar
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can manage time effectively and demonstrate a proactive approach to classroom support
• Are enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work collaboratively with staff and students

Applicants with degrees outside of the suggested subjects, or those with relevant qualifications for working with children, are also encouraged to apply.
