The school is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team after the half term break. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate in Maths, Science, English, Psychology, Health & Social Care, or a related field who is considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or pastoral support and would like to gain valuable, hands-on classroom experience.

Role Details

• Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Location: London Borough of Wandsworth
• School Type: Mainstream Primary
• Start Date: After Half Term
• Pay: £93 – £110 per day (PAYE) – dependent on experience and qualifications
• Hours: 08:30am – 4:00pm
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Contract: Full-time, Long-term

The Role

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Delivering targeted academic support within your subject specialism
• Assisting pupils with additional needs, including SEND
• Supporting behaviour management and pupil engagement
• Working closely with class teachers and pastoral staff
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a degree in Maths, Science, English, Psychology, Health & Social Care, or a related subject
• Has a genuine passion for education and supporting children
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is patient, proactive, and adaptable
• Is considering a long-term career in education or child-focused professions
