Ortus Recruitment is seeking a full-time graduate assistant to join the KS2 team at our client school. This position will be responsible for assisting teachers with their daily teaching tasks, as well as leading interventions and working on a 1:1 basis when necessary.

The successful individual will join the motivating UKS2 team to help raise attainment and help pupils reach set targets in the journey towards SATs. There will be a big emphasis placed on core subjects therefore being able to confidently lead numeracy and literacy interventions is ideal.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a minimum 2:2 degree in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Education or other relevant subject
• Have experience working with children in a KS2 classroom environment
• Be friendly, confident, assertive, reliable and dedicated to being a positive role model
• A genuine interest and passion for supporting children in their social, emotional and academic development
• Have a strong academic background with the ability to lead core subject interventions
