Within this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the academic development of pupils by leading small group interventions in core subjects working closely with pupils who need to raise their academic attainment level in core subjects.

To be considered, you must have:

• An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• A strong academic background, educated to degree level
• Two obtainable childcare or academic references

Responsibilities within this role:

• You will need to work alongside the class teacher in supporting a Year 5 class as a General Teaching Assistant
• You will be required to lead small group interventions on core subjects
• You will need to liaise with the class teacher and the parents/carers to provide feedback on the pupils academic progress
• You will be responsible for supervising the pupils in the playground and in the lunchroom, trying to maintain calm behaviour
• You may be tasked with undertaking administrative duties such as photocopying/laminating, and updating/removing display boards.
