Ortus Recruitment are looking for an reliable and proactive graduate Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive Primary School in the London Borough of Brent.

The School is in an ideal location within walking distance from public transport links, parks, cafes and restaurants. The school itself is a mainstream school, offering a great range of extra-curricular and lunchtime activities, modern facilities, and has a great leadership team of supportive and knowledgeable individuals to aid you in your role.

The successful candidate will assist the class teacher with behaviour management, marking work, lesson planning and liaising with parents, as well as leading 1:1 and small group interventions i.e. numeracy and literacy and engaging students confidently with the curriculum to help them obtain set targets.

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months Primary school experience (desirable)
• Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education
• Strong numeracy/literacy skills
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
