ORTUS RECRUITMENT are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at our vibrant and friendly client school in the London Borough of Brent. You will be responsible for providing learning support to KS2 students in a range of subjects, as well as helping to create an enjoyable learning environment. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for helping students reach their potential.

**Candidates must be able to commit to a long-term and full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm)**

The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject, as well as a good understanding of the National Curriculum. Experience of working with children in the 7-11 age range is also essential.

You will need to be an excellent communicator and have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum. You must have experience working with children in a classroom setting or be a recent graduate who can confidently lead core subject interventions to raise attainment and reach set targets to ensure success in the SATs period.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a minimum 2:2 degree in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Education or other relevant subject
• Have experience working with children in a KS2 classroom environment
• Be friendly, confident, assertive, reliable and dedicated to being a positive role model
• A genuine interest and passion for supporting children in their social, emotional and academic development
• Have a strong academic background with the ability to lead core subject interventions
