Ortus Recruitment are seeking for an experienced Teaching Assistant in the Crystal Palace area to work one in our partnered mainstream primary school immediately. This role is a full-time vacancy (Mon- Fri 08:30 – 16:00).

Requirements:

• Graduate or Recent Graduate of a core subject (Maths, English, Science, Psychology, Drama)
• Candidates with enthusiasm, motivation and ambition
• SEN experience (desirable)
• Candidates who can build rapport and develop positive relationships with young children
• Commitment to work part of a team in conjunction with the class teacher, and under direction of the leadership team, ensure that the progress of children is monitored and tracked
• Capable of providing regular feedback to class teacher
• Candidates who are able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
• Candidates with Fully Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service

Please Note:

• We welcome applicants with degrees beyond this or relevant qualifications for working with children.
• We welcome candidates who do not have a current child workorce DBS on the update service and is willing to apply for a DBS.
