Ortus Recruitment is seeking ambitious and motivated university graduates to work as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant in a welcoming 2-form entry primary school located in Iver Village, Buckinghamshire.

This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, child development, or PGCE/teacher training. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom
  • Assist with SATs preparation (Maths, English, SPaG, Reading)
  • Deliver small group interventions
  • Provide targeted 1:1 support where required
  • Help raise attainment and boost pupil confidence
  • Support classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff
