Ortus Recruitment is seeking ambitious and motivated university graduates to work as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant in a welcoming 2-form entry primary school located in Iver Village, Buckinghamshire.
This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, child development, or PGCE/teacher training. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom
- Assist with SATs preparation (Maths, English, SPaG, Reading)
- Deliver small group interventions
- Provide targeted 1:1 support where required
- Help raise attainment and boost pupil confidence
- Support classroom behaviour and engagement
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in lesson support, behaviour management, differentiation, and academic intervention strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Have experience with children (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work – desirable but not essential)
