Ortus Recruitment has an exciting opportunity! We are currently seeking a Level 3 Qualified HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join one of our specialist schools located in the London Borough of Lewisham, Hither Green.

This role is for a September 2023 start, and it is a full time, long term position on a temp to perm contract.

The Job Information:

• Position: Level 3 Qualified HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
• Pay: £115 – £135 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Location: Lewisham, Hither Green
• Role: Full time, Long term (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)

The requirements for this job:

• Must have a level 3 HLTA qualification
• Must have experience working alongside children in a school setting
• Must have experience leading a class in the teachers absence
• Will be patient and resilient
• Will be able to build a positive rapport with pupils and staff
• Will have a strong academic background, must be educated to degree level or equivalent
• Must have TWO obtainable Childcare relevant references
• Must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

Within this role you will be required to work alongside a group of 7 pupils who have special educational needs, you will be required to work alongside other support staff and teach lessons.
